Read Approve-it messages carefully before you approve them. Don't let fraudsters scare you into accepting an Approve-it message.
Never share your secret information with anyone.
Never share your banking password, card number or PIN with anyone. We will never ask you for this information.
Can't receive or make calls? Contact your network provider urgently.
Fraudsters will do a SIM swap or port your number to their account so they can accept your security messages. Never ignore an SMS informing you of a SIM swap request on your number.
We'll never email you a statement, asking for your Nedbank ID or password to open an attachment.
We'll never send you an electronic message such as an email or SMS with a link that takes you to a website where you have to enter any of your personal information.
Is your cellphone lost or stolen? We need to know.
Report your lost or stolen phone to Nedbank as soon as possible. Criminals can get access to the information on your cellphone and use it to commit fraud.
Know where to report fraud
Nedbank's number to report fraud is 080 011 0929. Don't be tricked into calling another number sent to you via SMS. Fraudsters will answer the phone, trying to trick you into disclosing your card number and PIN or Online Banking login details.
