Your Nedbank ID username and password protect your money.

Sometimes fraudsters call you, saying that your Nedbank ID username and password have been compromised. They then ask you to change your username and password immediately to a username and password that they give you.

 

Tips to keep safe

  • Never change your Nedbank ID username and password to a username and password that someone gave you over the phone. Fraudsters will access and transact on your account if they know your Nedbank ID username and password. 
  • Never share your Nedbank ID username and password with anyone or enter your details on a webpage that you’ve accessed via a link in an email or SMS.
  • Read Approve-it messages carefully before accepting them and never share your one-time password (OTP) with anyone. Nedbank will never ask you to accept an Approve-it message to stop a fraudulent transaction.
  • If you suspect fraud on your account or if your banking details have been compromised, call us on 0800 110 929 immediately.
