Fraud Awareness Campaign

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Never share your card PIN or Nedbank ID username and password.

Campaign date: 2023/04/13
Version 0.11

Fraudsters use these three tricks to get you to share your card PIN or Nedbank ID username and password.

They try to scare you by saying that (i) your account has been compromised, (ii) your account needs to be updated or

(iii) that they need to reverse a fraudulent transaction or debit order.

Here are four ways to protect your bank account:

  • Nedbank will never send you an email or SMS with a link that takes you to a screen that asks for your Nedbank ID username and password or card PIN.
  • Nedbank will never call or SMS you asking for your Nedbank ID username and password or card PIN. Don’t share these details with anyone.
  • Don’t change your Nedbank ID username or password to one that someone gives you over the phone.
  • Always read Approve-it messages carefully before accepting them.

If you suspect fraud on your account contact us immediately on 0800 110 929.

By selecting I acknowledge, you confirm that you have read and understood this fraud prevention message. If you do not follow these precautions or if there is negligence on your part, your money may be lost permanently.
