Fraud Awareness Campaign

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Protect your card information and prevent losing your hard-earned money.

Campaign date: 2023/07/13
Version 0.14

Criminals use tricks to get your card information. They call pretending to be bank employees, saying they need to reverse a fraudulent transaction or debit order, or send you emails asking you to insert your card details on a webpage you accessed through a link.

Criminals may use your card information to make online purchases, register a digital wallet, or download the money app on their device without your knowing.

In some cases, they ask you to accept an Approve-it message or share an OTP with them to approve the transactions they are making. They may even do a SIM swap on your phone number so that you don’t get your banking notifications.

Follow these tips to stay safe:

  1. Never share your card PIN, expiry date and CVC (the 3- or 4-digit security number on the front or back of your card) over the phone or insert them on a webpage you accessed using a link in an email or text message.
  2. Carefully read Approve-it messages before accepting them and never disclose your OTP to anyone.
  3. Avoid entering card information on websites that offer unrealistically low-priced products and have T&Cs that automatically enrol you in subscriptions or long-term monthly payments. Take the time to read the T&Cs.
  4. If you experience unexpected loss of cellphone connectivity or receive an SMS about a SIM swap you didn't request, urgently contact your cellphone service provider and inform us on 0800 110 929.
  5. Immediately notify us on 0800 110 929 if your card details have been compromised.

By selecting I acknowledge, you confirm that you have read and understood this fraud prevention message. If you do not follow these precautions or if there is negligence on your part, your money may be lost permanently.
