If you are receiving monthly international payments from abroad for the same reason, you can give us a standing instruction to convert the payment automatically at the prevailing exchange rate without requiring any action from you.

View the details of all inward payments. View the number of days left to accept a payment. Select the reason for payments. Generate an exchange rate quote with the option to decline it if you want to get a possible better exchange rate within 30 days. Return money to senders.

How it works

1 Give the sender some of your account details.
Your current account name and number. Nedbank’s SWIFT code: NEDSZAJJ. Please give the correct details to the sender. Look out for a confirmation email from us. We will email you, confirming that we have received your inward payment and that it is now ready for processing.

2 Accept the payment.
On the app	On Online Banking
Log in to the app. Select Transact and then Payment from the retractable arc. Select Receive an international payment. Follow the easy steps to complete your payment.	Log in to Online Banking. Click on Transact at the top and choose International banking and travel from the drop-down menu. Click on Receive payments. Select the payment you want to process and follow the easy steps.

Important information
The service is available to all South African Nedbank clients who receive payments from an international bank. Timelines for submitting instructions: Transactions of more than R1 million: weekdays during business hours. Transactions of up to R1 million: weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Transactions submitted after business hours on weekdays, public holidays and weekends will be processed only on the next business day. The sender chooses who will pay the transfer charges by selecting one of the following options: OUR: All fees are charged to the sender. SHA: The charges are split between the sender and receiver. BEN: All fees are charged to the receiver. Exchange control regulations apply. Certain balance of payments categories require additional information in line with exchange control regulations. We will notify you if you have selected one of these categories and a Nedbank consultant will contact you to complete your transaction.

- SHA: The charges are split between the sender and receiver.
- BEN: All fees are charged to the receiver.
Exchange control regulations apply.
