Pay or receive money instantly
You can now send or receive money easily without sharing your bank details. Simply set up a ShapID and get going!

To register for a ShapID on the Nedbank Private Wealth app or Nedbank Private Wealth Online Banking, simply:

1. Log on and go to More on the Nedbank Private Wealth app, or click on Settings if you’re using Nedbank Private Wealth Online Banking;
2. select ShapID management;
3. go to Register a ShapID;

4. read and accept the terms and conditions;
5. select the account you want to link your PayShap to; and
6. select Register, then Done.

To register using Cellphone Banking, simply dial *120*001# and follow the Payshap menu steps.

 1. Log on to the the Nedbank Private Wealth app.
 2. Select Transact.
 3. Select Payment.

 4. For a once-off payment:

4.1 enter the beneficiary’s name;
4.2 in the Account type field choose PayShap from the dropdown list;
4.3 enter the ShapID; and
4.4 click on Confirm ShapID (and make sure that you are paying the right person).

 5. If an existing beneficiary:

5.1 search for the saved beneficiary and select Beneficiary;
5.2 select PayShap details from the beneficiary contact card; and
5.3 the ShapID details will be populated automatically.

 6. Complete all the required fields, including the amount you want to send.
 7. Click on Pay.
 8. If you have not already registered for PayShap via More > ShapID Management, you will be asked to read and accept the terms and conditions.
 9. Review the payment details and select Confirm payment.
 

 1. Log on to Online Banking.
 2. Select Transact.
 3. Select Single payment.

 4. If a new beneficiary or once-off payment:

 4.1 enter the new beneficiary’s  name;
 4.2 swipe to PayShap; and
 

 4.3 enter the ShapID and confirm the ShapID details.
 4.4 Click Next.
 4.5 If you have not already registered for PayShap via Settings > ShapID Management, you will be asked to read and accept the terms and conditions.

 5. If an existing beneficiary:

 5.1 search from saved beneficiaries and select beneficiary.
 5.2 select PayShap details from the beneficiary contact card; and
 5.3 the ShapID details will be populated automatically.

 6. Select Next.
 7. Read the terms and conditions and select Accept.
 8. Enter the amount you want to send.
 9. Complete the payment reference details.
10. Review the payment details and select Pay. 
 

 1. Dial *120*001# and log in to .Cellphone Banking using your five-digits PIN.
 2. Choose PayShap on the main menu.

 3. If registered for PayShap and making a once-off payment to a new recipient

 3.1 choose Pay a ShapID;
 3.2 choose the account to pay from;
 3.3 enter the ShapID details; and
 3.4 choose the bank the ShapID is linked to.

 4. If registered for PayShap and paying a saved recipient:

 4.1 choose Pay recipient;
 4.2 choose the account to pay from; and
 4.3 choose the recipient you want to pay.

 5. If not registered for PayShap and making a once-off payment to a new recipient

 5.1 choose Pay;
 5.2 choose ShapID;
 5.3 choose the account to pay from;
 5.4 enter the ShapID; and
 5.5 choose the bank the ShapID is linked to.

 6. If not registered for PayShap and paying a saved recipient

 6.1 choose Pay;
 6.2 choose PayShap recipient;
 6.3 choose the account to pay from;
 6.4 enter the ShapID; and
 6.5 choose the bank the ShapID is linked to.

 7. Verify the recipient details and choose Continue.
 8. Enter the amount you want to send.
 9. Enter the reference.
10. Review the payment details and select Confirm.
11. Select Main menu or exit the session.

It’s as simple as that. The recipient will get the money in seconds. Follow the link for the steps.

PayShap payments are also accepted by Standard Bank, ABSA and FNB.
